Hey, my beautiful humans, how are you all? It's definitely been a minute since I have taped a solo episode and I'm stoked to be with you all today. Today we're going to talk about finding your people, finding your crew or your team. You know finding your people, and what I mean by that is people who get you, people who share your values and make you a better version of your truest self. You know your crew. There's a vibe match, there's an energy, a frequency to these people, and I know you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Samantha Pruitt:When you're together, you create more fun, more art, more work, more joy. You're more productive, you get more results. The drive is high, they get you and you feel it Versus. When you're not with your people, you're not with your crew, you're not with your crew, this is not your team, and I know. You know what this feels like too. They drag you down, their vibration is low. With these people, you never feel seen, heard, respected or celebrated. Your values are misaligned, your emotions are misunderstood, actions are misguided and results are negative.
Samantha Pruitt:Unfortunately, sometimes what happens in the personal space, in the professional space, in the social space, we get confused. These groups of people kind of clomb together. You know we think we belong in that tribe, on that team, with those people, but we don't. Or we yearn to be part of that circle, part of that community, part of that group, but we don't know why. So I want you to ask yourself some questions. If you're not sure, here's a few questions you can ask yourself.
Samantha Pruitt:When I show up to be with them, do I overthink and stress about how I look, what I wear, how I act, or do I limit up what I'm going to offer? When I want to say something but I'm not sure they'll understand me, if they'll accept my ideas, my feelings or support me? I'm when I'm with these people, do I feel a resistance inside me? This is so important in your life Having your crew, your tribe, your people, your group to be with. And when I say that it can be you and one, you and five, you and 10, you and 100. I don't care. There's no right or wrong way to this, but it's so important to have people that you can connect with, that really, really, genuinely, authentically get you. Yes, it's your authentic life.
Samantha Pruitt:You're not trying to fit in or limit your full potential and your happiness by being with the wrong people, in the wrong circle or with the wrong team. Like I said, this can be family, yeah, family. Some of us were born into the wrong family. Many people were Friends, old friends, new friends sometimes they just don't fit. Work or coworkers.
Samantha Pruitt:Being in a space where you're not really seen, heard, respected doesn't feel good. Or a community of people who you think are right for you because maybe you share an interest or a hobby or you live in a certain space Seems to make sense, but when you go there you don't feel good. Just because we look like, are born into or share a space with people does not mean there are people. Now. What I'm not saying is we should self-isolate or reject others. What I'm saying is we should self-isolate or reject others.
Samantha Pruitt:What I'm saying is it's imperative to listen, to feel and to respect how your relationships with others is working or not working. And what I am urging you to do today is to not closely examine and pick apart every single person in your circle. I'm asking you to listen to yourself, to think about this If I'm spending time or wasting time with the wrong people, they're not really my crew, my team, my tribe. How am I going to find the right people and what am I missing out on? I want you to go find them. And if you already have them and many of us do we are lucky enough to have them. Double down on investing in them. And if you already have them and many of us do we are lucky enough to have them. Double down on investing in them. Invest in those high vibration relationships.
Samantha Pruitt:Those are your people. We all have them. They're all out there, all different ages, shapes, sizes. Sometimes it's people we wouldn't think we'd have anything in common with. But when we meet them, we hang out with them, we talk to them, we feel good. We can't really put our finger on it, but there's something about so-and-so that just makes me feel good. That's what I'm talking about. They see you, they respect you, they hear you, they cheer you on. Here at the Everyday Awesome Project, we're on the path with you, exploring, experiencing and becoming all of our best selves. I'm just here to tell you well, remind you, don't let others hold you down. Find your circle. That's where your biggest fans are hanging out. They're there waiting for you, just like we are to cheer you on. All right, remember, beautiful humans, how your life feels is more important than how it looks. See you next time.
